Dear Parents , Staff and Students,
Greetings!
Under the Aegis of His Highness Sheikh Abdullah Bin Hamad
Bin Saif Al Sharqi , and the effective vision and strategic
leadership of CEO/ BOG, Principal, SLT leadership has aligned Our
Own English High School Vision with Educational Vision and Goals
of UAE, shared strong vision with all the stakeholders.
Looking back the year 2019 until date, I'm proud to note how
far we have come as a family celebrating our strong Curricular
progression School strategic planning with strong enrichment plans
, initiatives and activities building a profound and strong
educational structure which has carved a niche for global
competence and future learning of our students.
We are committed to preparing Our Own English High School
students for tomorrow's world, empowering our young learners to
shape the world they want to live in!
Great relationships are vital in any community.
I believe that the open, honest relationships that we enjoy
between home and school are essential models for our children. I
also believe that they serve to reinforce and amplify our efforts
and our endeavors, and through alignment they become resonant.
This resonance pulls us along and keeps us in harmony. This
resonance, perhaps, comes from a shared belief that in this little
corner of Fujairah we have something special worth sustaining at
OOEHS ; from believing that the principles of integrity,
responsibility and diversity are worth working hard for; and from
knowing that our positive efforts are amplified in turn through
3,100 young people, the students of Our Own English High School.
No-one ever expects this to be easy, but it’s definitely worth it.
We are 1½ years into a global pandemic, of unprecedented
impact and scope. Between these events, our school has not
only prevailed but has thrived successfully in all areas
coming up to the expectations of all the stakeholders.
This has been down to the resonance, but also due to a
relentless focus on improving the quality of our provision across
a huge range of factors, with my exceptional colleagues, SLT,
academic and admin staff stepping up and working together to pay
equal attention to countless activities and to large initiatives.
With inside knowledge of the many things that have been happening
beyond School hours in the last one and half year, that are now
ready to blossom into high visibility, I am excited about what
lies ahead for OOEHS.
With our students acing the Board exams year 2020 both in
CBSE, IGCSE with stellar performance adds to our achievements and
milestones which I have shared with you through all the
orientations and presentations, newsletter messages PAB meetings
etc.
We celebrate and await for this year 2021 results which
we’re sure of making it to be the most fair, integral and
outstanding as our students truly deserve!
I am delighted that teaching and learning were
overwhelmingly seen as the things we do best. I have also listened
to the constructive feedback well appreciated and acknowledged by
our students and parent community. We shall focus on particular
areas, like parent communications, for the next school year.
Thank you for another wonderful and productive school year.
I can’t thank everyone enough for your endless hours of
volunteering, chaperoning, reading, organizing, and doing whatever
was necessary to support students—both at home and at school.
Special thanks to our PAB who, as usual, went above and beyond the
call of duty to provide whatever was necessary to add to our
students’ already rich school experience supporting us with
effective collaboration and cooperation
I also am grateful for the time and care that so many of you
took in responding to our recent Parent Survey’s shared by MOE and
School.
A final word for our students: Thank you for all your hard
work throughout the school year. I am so honored to be your
principal; you make me proud to be a motherly figure!
You keep me laughing and young at heart. I am grateful for
your joy, astute insights and amazing talents. Best wishes to our
graduating 12th graders CBSE, S5 IGCSE , whom I will miss greatly
,please visit your Alma Mater anytime you wish to do so !
As we look to the next academic year, I offer a warm welcome
to all the new students starting at OOEHS and their families. It’s
an exciting time to be joining the School and we are looking
forward to seeing you all in August!
