Counselling and Learning Support

School Wellbeing Statement

The School Counselling and Wellbeing Department is committed to supporting the holistic development of all students through a comprehensive programme focused on:

  • Academic Development
  • Personal & Social Development
  • Career Development

We strive to create a safe, inclusive, supportive, and nurturing environment where students feel valued, respected, and empowered to achieve their full potential academically, socially, emotionally, and personally. The department supports students in recognising and managing social, behavioural, emotional, and personal challenges through a variety of evidence-based counselling strategies and interventions. Counselling services aim to enhance students' wellbeing, resilience, self-awareness, interpersonal skills, and academic success.

Preventive and proactive counselling approaches are embedded within the school community to help students develop positive coping strategies, emotional regulation, decision-making skills, and healthy relationships before challenges escalate. Recognising the wide range of future opportunities available to students, the department also provides comprehensive career guidance and counselling. Students are supported in identifying their interests, aptitudes, strengths, personalities, and aspirations to make informed and meaningful career choices. Through guidance programmes, counselling sessions, workshops, and individual planning, students receive support in:

  • Exploring career pathways
  • Understanding higher education opportunities
  • Preparing for entrance examinations
  • Developing career-readiness skills
  • Making informed decisions about their future

The department works collaboratively with students, parents, teachers, leadership, and the wider community to promote wellbeing, positive relationships, student voice, inclusion, and lifelong success for every learner.

Inclusive Education

Inclusive Education

Royal Private English School, Fujairah recognizes Students of Determination (SoD — those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, SEND) and Gifted & Talented students (G&T) as fully participating members of a community of learners. All students should have equitable access to learning, opportunities for achievement, and the pursuit of excellence in all aspects of their educational programs. To provide a holistic and inclusive learning environment, the school has adopted an inclusive education set-up where equal opportunities are given to learners in a least restrictive and non-segregatory environment.

The department consists of the Student Counsellor and Special Educator who function in collaboration and consultation with Teachers, Supervisors, School Doctor, and Parents. Parents should get assessments done when requested by the CLSD and submit assessment reports accordingly.
